interactive online Christmas concert - an Advent program by Wishful Singing & Stine Jensen

Singing is part of Christmas, preferably during a beautiful Christmas concert. Since this is not possible because of the corona restrictions, the a cappella quintet Wishful Singing, in collaboration with Muziekgebouw Eindhoven, is bringing the Christmas feeling to our homes. The ensemble, together with philosopher Stine Jensen, will present an online advent calendar with small surprises in the form of a video with an inspiring column by Stine, surrounded by atmospheric Advent and Christmas music and every day an online lesson to learn to sing the music yourself. Finally you will find in one of the boxes an interactive online Christmas concert.

Ever since the Middle Ages, seven Magnificat antiphons have been sung at the vesper service in the last week before Christmas; the initial letters of them together spell out the words ERO CRAS, which means 'Tomorrow I will be there'. With this thought in mind, the ensemble has put together a concert of Gregorian chants and Christmas carols from the past to the present, interwoven with short, stimulating reflections by Stine Jensen on the past corona period. In this way, Stine Jensen and the five singers of Wishful Singing will be counting down to the interactive Christmas concert on December 23, 2020 from the Muziekgebouw Eindhoven and you can sing along from home to some of the music. There is also a live chat for all online viewers during the concert.
